The 4th Annual Malone Awards

Named in honor of Vivian Malone Jones—the first African-American graduate of The University of Alabama—the Malone Awards is a signature celebration recognizing Black excellence, leadership, and impact. Hosted by The Malone Society, this inspiring evening honors outstanding alumni, students, and corporate partners who are advancing equity and inclusion in their fields and communities. The 4th Annual BAA Charity Golf Tournament
Friday, June 6, 2025 · Highland Park Golf Course · Birmingham, AL
Tee off for a cause at the BAA Annual Charity Golf Tournament! This fun and impactful event brings together alumni, families, and friends of The University of Alabama for a day of camaraderie, celebration, and purpose. Proceeds from the tournament directly support scholarships that empower underrepresented students at UA, helping to make their academic dreams a reality. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just joining for the fellowship, your participation makes a difference.

Annual Pinning Ceremonies
The Freshman and Graduating Pinning Ceremonies are an annual tradition that welcomes incoming Black students to the UA community and celebrates outgoing seniors, connecting both to a legacy of excellence and support.
















50th Recognition of UA Divine Nine
In 2024, we proudly celebrated 50 years of the Divine Nine at The University of Alabama, a milestone honoring the legacy of Black greek-lettered organizations at the Capstone. The weekend was filled with unforgettable moments, including a high-energy step show, the historic debut of the NPHC Plaza on campus, and a series of events that brought generations of Black Greek life together.















































The Annual Malone Awards
The Malone Awards, hosted by The University of Alabama's Culverhouse College of Business in partnership with the Black Alumni Association and Black Faculty and Staff Association for the first time in 2022, honors the enduring legacy of Vivian Malone Jones, the University's first Black graduate. These awards recognize alumni who exemplify excellence in leadership, service, and impact.
































Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Our Annual Charity Golf Tournament is a signature event that brings together alumni, friends, and supporters for a day of fellowship, fun, and fundraising. Held at Highland Park Golf Course in Birmingham, the tournament supports scholarships and initiatives that uplift Black students at the Capstone.
60th Recognition of Black UA
In 2023, we commemorated 60 years since the university’s desegregation, honoring the courage of trailblazers like Vivian Malone and James Hood with a series of events that reflected on progress and reaffirmed our enduring commitment to inclusion.
